Hardwood Sanding & Refinishing
Hardwood flooring is still a popular form of flooring that comes in many different species. It also comes in the form or an unfinished and prefinished variation. The slide to the left shows the differences. The stages are Sanding, Edging & handwork, Screening, Waterpopping, Staining, then finishing.
Prefinished hardwood has grooves or bevels between the boards. It is usually milled with an Aluminum Oxide laser cured finish, making the surface much harder to sand, requiring more materials.
Site or Un-finished hardwood generally has not oil or water based finish and is considered raw hardwood when delivered and installed.
